When Jewel Adams is abducted and taken to a place that most people don’t know exists, her friends are frantic to find her. The one alien race they thought they could count on refuses to help them. The other, the reptilians, are holding her captive. Will they harm her?

Together, the four have abilities that, when combined, can save Earth from self-destruction, but they can’t do it without Jewel.

In this exciting sequel to Terra’s Call, the four teens discover that things are not at all as they seem. There are more mysteries in this world than any of them have dreamed of, and they’re about to meet some of those mysteries head-on.

“Wake up!” The gravelly voice wrenches me from a sound sleep, and I sit up and rub my eyes. “Out of bed, now!” I recognize the Dracan barking orders and resist the impulse to cover my head with the blanket. What good would it do?

“What do you want, Shaula?” I ask, trying to control my shaking voice. This reptilian terrifies me. I stand up and pray he leaves soon. The trembling in my body isn’t helping me control my full bladder.

“Ah, she’s awake.” His voice sandpapers my nerves. His grin sends shivers down my spine and I shudder at his bared teeth. Does he eat humans?

“Thuban commands you to dress and be ready for transport in an hour. His daughter will be here momentarily to give you clothes. I advise you not to waste time.” He stares, the grin back on his face.

I don’t know where the courage comes from, but I answer him, “The sooner you leave, the quicker I can get ready.”

“Ah, yes,” he answers. “Perhaps you can convince some on the Council of your worth. I am not convinced, however, and I have more influence with the others than the king of Atlantis suspects. Oh, and I would not repeat that to him, if I were you. Your days are numbered, as   is. You may not want your life to end with a prolonged and painful death.”

Great Book! Needs to be read after the first book in the series, "Terra's Call", in order to get context, but who would want to read only a part of the story, anyway? Both books move well and hold your interest - particularly if you like to imagine a scenario that explains all the UFOs, odd sea creatures, legends, ancient mysteries and environmental or celestial anomalies we hear so much about. I'm looking forward to the next book, in which it wouldn't surprise me to be introduced to Big Foot! Great work Patty, and great imagination and story telling!

I have always been fascinated by extraterrestrial creatures. Many times during their mission with the artifacts I could feel the stalking and the possibility of losing their lives that each character felt. Loved the different talents that each person had, particularly the telepathic communications. You can feel the love, their distress, and sometimes the dislike between the good and the bad characters. The Breaking News at the end leaves you in suspense wondering about what the Ring of Fire will do to everyone in this epic novel.
